For the Weather Geeks
File this one under the "this is cool" section. It loads the visual, IR and water vapor sat images. Wait for it to load. Then slide the bar that says "set fade level" back and forth. You can also click the "zoom" button then click in the image.

If you need someone to explain the difference between infrared, visual and water vapor, you should just stick to Bob the Weather Rock. If Bob is damp, take an umbrella (or in your case a sweater) if Bob is white, put on a jacket, if Bob is rolling, stand in a door way and away from the windows, etc.
Angstrom's, eyeballs and drip coefficients . . . I dunno, what the hell DOES it all mean? IR-we can't see it, it's just light or heat, measured somehow, that exists at a higher wavelength than our eyeballs can see. Visual-Thag see cloud . . . . maybe rain come. Maybe not. Play more golf anyway . . . Water vapor-units of moisture (don't GO there) per square inch, more units per square inch, more possibility of rain . . . it aint' that simple, ya know, you Navy Geeks take a lot of stuff for granted. Not that yer daughters aren't smarter than any of us, anyway, especially their pops, but . . . . . at least THEY would be nice and explain stuff . . . . I LIKED the Bob The Weather Rock thing . . . that's not the FIRST time you've used that, is it . . . . . :p
