Dirk Powell. Time Again
Great cd, great music.
Waterbound Is This Song (I Love It)
8 Beats To A Line.
32 Beats To A Stanza
Slow Tempo('Sort Of)

F# A F# E
I went out late one night,
E D D B
Moon and the stars were shinging bright.
B D E F#
Storm came up, n the trees come down,
F# E D B
I'll tell ya boys I was water bound.

Water bound on a strangers shore.
River risin to my door.
Carried my home to the field below, I'm water bound, no where to go.

Carve my name on an old barn wall,
No one knowed I was there at all.
Safe and dry on a winters night.
Ya turn yer head and ya see the light.

Black kat crawling on an old box car.
Rusty door and a falling star.
Aint got a dime in my nation sack,
I'm water bound and I can't get back.

Yes I'm a goin and I won't be back
Ya don't belive me you can count my tracks.
River's long and the river's wide
I'll meet cha boys on the other side.

So say my name and don't forget.
This ole water ain't got me yet.
Nothun but, I'm bound to roam
I'm water bound and I can't get home.

F# A F# E
E D D B
B D E F#
F# E D B

There's prolly some minor and modal madness in there, the chord structure is just offa what I would play for changes on reso, minors and modals are kinda natural for me, and I wouldn't have a clue how to figger them in for tab, or notation.

It IS a great song, though. Hope someone picks up on it.

Why, It's Daisy Duke Ellington!

Davies Family Outing - Note the New Time

Per Stephen's wishes, the Davies family has made arrangements to have his ashes scattered to the ocean waves on Sunday, August 14th. The family will be aboard the 50' Ketch "Earendyl". That boat is full. We would like to welcome any friends who have a desire to accompany us out to sea to do so in your own vessel, or you might want to make arrangements to ride with friends. It would be fantastic to see some boats in escort (Camp Howdy Yacht Club Rules apply).
We are scheduled to disembark Santa Cruz Harbor at 9:00 am and will head out to sea a distance of at least 3 miles per state regulations. Stephen would want us to obey the law. Remember to position your vessel upwind a bit. Just a tip . . .

There Are Times, I LOVE This Planet

Woof. BIG Woof!

THIS'LL Make Ya Wanna Bust Out Bawlin

Great read. I mean, how much more can anyone ever write about Del, and still make it interesting.

Loved this one. Writer captured the essence of Del . . . HEH HEH HEH

Geronimoooooooooshiiiiiiiiiit

But Park Officials state that swimming is not allowed at the top of Vernal Falls. Someone needs to install roots or bracken at the top of that thing. It's dangerous. Keep away.

Nice Boat Ride, anyways....

Well, there's nothing quite like being 50 + miles offshore, nothing but water & sealife in every direction, dolphins "flying" by, whales breaching, beer cans clanging in & out of the garbage can....& the yerning for just one single click of the reel, something, anything to tell us that there actually were Albacore in the neighborhood...but alsa, I digress..once again. Honestly though, it was a great 12 hours at sea...a long day but very cozy in a nice 31 foot sport fisher, couple of other nice chaps & plenty of beer. Very interesting skirting through blankets of fog at 5:00 in the morning, hitting the horn & watching the radar for others...our Captain for the day had a few difficulties with his auto pilot, but we were luckilly faster than the guys we were cutting off in the fog. Needless to say, sorry fellers we can't share any Ablie with ya this time around.....see ya at Mobos!
