Alas Another Good Man Gone

Amidst the REAL concern for the passing of Farrah Fawcett and her work to enhance the lives of abused women, and the shit concern for the likes of pop idol's who were LONG ruined by their own family at age 6, and among the passing glances for Johnny Carson's sidekick who was EQUALLY tortured as was Teh Thrillah . . .

There's another sad passing. One of MY angst spent youth's people who led the way with hard core rock from the 60's that was played on AM Raydeo when that shit was kewl.

Along with The Grass Roots, The Beau Brummels, The Troggs, 13th Floor Elevator, The Electric Prunes, Blues Magoo's and a hundred more of the mid 60's to late 60's Top 40 chart busters that had millions of early and pre-teens wettting their pants in lusty song and wanton abandon, The Seeds smashed their wicked psychedelic pop 40 way into our souls and our stained undies.

So here's a moment to pay some homage to Sky Saxon. Cuz hoss, they're STILL pushin too fuckin hard on me. Thanks Sky, for the outrage. It's well spent, still.

Stolen from a post on the Orange County Register...

"Republicans are pro-law enforcement and firefighter? I think these functions should be privatized at once. There should be competing plans for police and fire protection from which you can choose, with deductibles and co-pays. When you call for service for either one you will of course need to prove that you have a police or fire protection contract and give your contract card number over the phone first, or at least the ability to pay, and then after that you will get protection. About three weeks later, assuming you are still alive, you will receive a bill and accounting for all services and hidden charges. You'll have about 30 days to pay the difference between what you thought the protection contract paid for and what was actually provided and billed, often higher. I think this is the free market solution we need rather than the socialized, liberal police and fire protection favored by communists and other Big Government Obama types."

Heeeee'sss BAAAACCCKKKK!

Sure, Cain is 9-1, Lincecum just pounded the Elephants for a 7-1 mark, and even Old Man (300+) Johnson is 6-5.

But Manny's the story, still.

Sadly, he'd have to average a bit more than 34 dingers per season for seven MORE full time seasons to catch Bonds.

Me, I just want to see him run up ONE more outfield wall and high five someone. *G*

I maintain the Gyro's missed the mark of the century by not picking him up, regardless of the cost at the time. They'd have a Series ring by now, likely, and would be heading to another one this year, despite the suspension.

Welcome back, hoss, we sure missed ya.

I'll help buy the fish. For camping, any ol' roll would suffice.
