WHEW!!!!!

N Zeke's never leaving.
Grass Valley, that is.
Damn. THAT was PHUN!!!!

I watched Zeke play his heart out a few times, and Doris, ohhhh Doris, she pretty much went beserk.

I NEVER seen or heard that woman go off like she did this weekend. Spot on and off the hook every note and all the one's inbetween she left silent at all the right times. She fiddled around so much and so well most of the other fiddlers at the fest put theirs away. I mean, she was AWESOME!!

Stayed up all night with buddy Cory, pickin till 6am Sunday morning. Left the fest at 2p cuz I KNEW I'd never make it home and get 'well' for work tomorrow if I stayed any longer.

Zeke's still there, n he said to tell Wendy, that Martin is gonna be a day late getting home. Or something like that.

Did I mention we had phun?

N Tubdude N Zeker's go out NEXT weekend, and do it all over the fest, again. Ya dogs. I hope you have a HORRIBLE time, drink too much, and sleep in late with hangovers in the afternoon when you get up!!!!!

I need a nap.

Comments:
That must have been some good time seeing how I didn't fucking go. I did make it to the San Josie and the Pussycats Airport Saturday morning at 4 o' clock in the a.m. Just about the time Zeke was probably getting shot down yet again. Saw Miss Brenda off to Our Nation's Capitol. NO, she didn't get elected...yet...just a harmless field trip to DC and NYC.

Hey, there WERE more n a few moments when it was just like if you was there, hoss. I don't believe a single Martinism or Tubism went unuttered. Zeke kept muttering something about feeling yer presence, but I think it was just his mollusk actin up. YOU go n have some big phun this upcomin weekend, ya earned it, I 'spect.

I couldn't make Grass Valley, either, but I DID get to the Huck Finn Jubilee in Victorville. Hell, IIIrd Tyme Out, Dry Branch Fire Squad and Rhonda Vincent played both fests anyway, and XM broadcast the whole 4 days from Grass Valley, so I got to hear most of that one, too, including Felton's comments about the rain and snow. Also, we had Blue Highway. Can you say Rob Ickes, LaRoo? Sure, I knew that you could!

Ooops--that last unsigned one is from Jim.

This one is too, I suppose...

Yeah, wanted to go but it wasn't in the shedule! The Cheese and I did get to see Sir Richard at the Rio though. As always, it sounded like three guys up there playin'. The most amazing guitar player, and as always, quite the witty guy. Played some gret new tunes...somethin' about UCSC students and..."I've Got The Hots For the Smarts"! '52 Vincent', 'Down where the drunkards roll' Misunderstood, and a great rendition of 'Al Bowley's in Heaven'. The tequila shots at the Crepe Place before hand made it a real Good Timuh! Maybe see ya at Kate Wolf on saturday. Still tryin' to justify twelve hours on the road for one day at the fest. But OK!

Justify? No sir, Festify. Come get meadowcated. You know you want to see donovan.

"Festify"....I like it! I guess with Parkfield, Gilroy, Springberry, and Grass Valley under the belt I only have Kate Wolf, High Sierra, GOOFY, & Fallberry to lok forward to now! *L*!! Too Much Fun....

Yes, Indeed! Grass Valley was a complete Hoot, & we missed all youn's up there but proceeded to have a mighty fine time all the same. Hey, Speakin of 'Rob Ikes', who I know Larue always blathers about...well, got to meet his Pop on Sunday Night at GV, "Tom" Ikes, as it were. Real nice fella & Rob's younger brother Patrick was pickin hard on the banjo...another bluegrass family.

Well, I guess we'll head on up to Laytonville this week & pay our respects to our favorite clown and master of ceremonies Wavy Gravy.

I just love these short work weeks!

I thought dave was our favorite clown.

Dave don't HAVE any funny shoes. Hell, he dont' have any shoes at ALL. He can't be the clown.

Ole JimBob has become quite the fest n meadow rat it seems. Funny how Strawberry N HowdyVille will do that to a man. ;-)

If I had a week off, to drive 12 hours in two days, BOTH ways, for a two day fest, I might consider a fest that far. You people are nutz. Like skwirrels. Oh oh, he said skwirrels. You boys make sure you chug a few for the skwirrels, now, ya heah . . . .

You're right...it's not shoeless dave. Besides, it takes more sunlight on his face to get that nice red nose effect. I'll be the clown, I have the nose at work.

THE SUN makes his red nose? Methinks, it's hops n brown water. Go. Have phun. Post about it. Bahstids, alla yas . . . . . .
