So I wake up this morning agreeing with Kissinger

"...He (Kissinger) said Mr. Bush had only a few things to accomplish: train a real Iraqi Army that includes all religious and ethnic groups, make the Shiites stop hating the Sunnis and the Kurds stop hating everyone, and keep the Iranians from creating a theocratic dictatorship in Iraq. Oh, yeah, and a couple of other teensy little things: our troops have to defeat the vicious Iraq insurgency, and Mr. Bush needs to keep domestic support for the war." -- Maureen Dowd

Comments:
The Camp Casey's are gonna grow, this thing's got mo. Here's to the end of this nightmare, sooner than later.

There is no end. Let's see, Hannibal's father conquered much of lower Mess O' Potamia in 1750, bc pretty much at the point of a spear and ever since, no one has managed to get some kind of single community all tied up together in that area without doing so by force most times foreign occupational force. Then, after time, they are all swallowed by the desert, all praises to Allah, as the locals say. I doubt the Texas Christians are going to do any better. The Horned Frogs are having a bad year.

The nightmare ending I was referrin to was ShrubCo and OUR part in the desert. I sure hope the public finds a way to stop Hallah Burton from building those 14 milatary bases, and we get the hell outta Mecca. Those bases will make us a terror target for the rest of our country's life. I don't much CARE about the self created nightmare of thousands of years those in the Middle East continue to war about. Let em kill each other off, they will STILL have to sell their oil to us, and China, and Russia. N there's enough for 50 years or so, for all of us. In the next 50 years, we'd best be developing alternative energies, renewable sorts, and wean ourselves off of the tit of dead dinosaurs. Course, that means eliminating the capitalistic structure that the petrochem/MIComplex has us all strangled by. Big changes. I can dream, I 'spose.

Don't make me laugh with bitter cynicism culminating with a hacking cough but I don't buy it. I hear tell that Iraq's oil production is running at 97% and it's all to us yet oil tops $60/bbl and gas is at $2.50 in Oklahoma and New Jersey.

I got yer hackin cough richthere.

Years of restaurant related tobacco, and an old 15 year habit of an ounce a week. Hack hack.

"Bong me one time baby, bong me twice today."

We is hosed. Love you and yours.

Gas at $2.50 is cheap. It's more, here, in Sactown.

N productivity ain't possibly at 97%, as the 'unsergency' has seen to that.

Deals bein cut with China, and Russia, WILL increase our costs, but, still, we will get ours.

Bottom line is, stability in the region is gonna be needed, and we done phooked THAT up!

WE messed up stability to PERMIT the development and pumping of oil, their only natural resource, and it's their ONLY reason for not being nuked to Mecca by Isreal Proxy, or being invaded by Russia AND China!!!!

I swear, OK and NJ BOTH can invade Iraq or any part of the ME Dessert, and they'll not get any better than what they got for prices now. It's all goin up, up, up, as a good ole gospel song says.

BTW, local Piggie in Woodside, hosts Waybacks today (Champ Hood's son on fiddle sittin in with James and Stevie) and tosses a Piggie Party for hundreds.

Initial reports in state, they were tossin meat and salmon and pizza as late as 11pm. Gawd, I LOVE a good Piggie Big Pig Gig Pre Party.

Warm up for Montalvo tomorrow. Anyone goin, have phun!!!

I miss Anjil's feasts and fests out in Bird Valley. Next year, for sho!!!!
