Tonight At Don Quixotes!

Should be a good'n with Chojo sittin in on fiddle....who's going?
See ya there!

Comments:
I'm in. Who needs a ride?

I do. Send the helicopter, will ya.

Çourse, I got em tomorrow nite.

And HowdyVille's newest rookie add, JimmyBob of 'Hey, I didn't get a Pahrump' outta that guy . . . . nice to have company again.

Oh, Chojo needs a helicopter ride here, too. I gotta work, gonna miss the Reso Workshop Billy's doin iin the afternoon. 'Kin work . . . .

That. was. beautiful. They say the first soothing sound a person hears is a woman's voice singing softly to them. Zeke wasn't very soothed while I was driving him home. He was gettin' more unsoothed by the minute. What a cool band.

*Whew*! What a great show! The addition of a great mandolin player, & Chojo standin' in on fiddle..that was hot! Very tasty show...now listening to the new CD as I type...& looking forward to their upcoming "electric" album of which they spoke of. Great to see their west coast road manager Eathan as well, which of course paved the path to a friendly meeting with Miss Shannon (hold me back boys!)...all I'll say is that is was nice she remembered me from SB....."& all the boys at the bar began to sing along..." *L*..good stuff, enjoy your show Larueski!

You know, it was Larue that pointed out something about the Biscuit Burners. He was going on and on, blah blah blah dobro wubba wubba reso yakity yak hubcap wubbity yak blah Bill Cardine and I stopped him right there and said, "You mean to tell me there are GUYS in that band?" Could have knocked me over with a feather.

Yeah, that was killer! My first time seein' them girls. Guy's? What guys? Couldn't really pay attention to the pickers, they were great,'specially the git picker....but that high lonesome harmony is what done me in. Those girls just sing great together. That, and any girl that plays bass like that, and comes out by her lonesome, wailin' some old hymn like she was Ralph Stanley.... Well Tarnation!

Well I'll be phreakin overspoken and loquacious as I am summa bitch.

Pete Grant!

Wow. I just SAW my fav band Spring Fest, n the Feb. A show Sacto before that.

Tonite. They done gone and reinvented it all over again.

Quantom.

New Mando off the hook, n new material. Stellar arranging, still.

Dan is MORE insane with less capo, Billy's doing things on a dobro most humans can't ('sup with his thumb pick 'fan' across the strings which is usually used for a chuck sound, only he uses it to play FULL chords, n the tone is phuckin perfect n ya can't DO that on a reso), the girls keep writing and singing, and now Mary is shape note sangin in that old timey mountain way as a solo voice, Billy wrote a song about Edward Albey's 'The Monkey Wrench Gang' (it's offischially MY new Mono County Jail fav song of the decade), n they closed with a song Mary wrote about her mom, in this wierding and wonnertful minor and modal way you know I love and live for.

An electric cd to come soon. A duet CD with Billy N Ivan Rosenburg (a young hoss of a reso player you should hear if ya haven't contact me offline for a copy of some of THAT fine shit). N another acoustic project in their works.

I LOVE THAT BAND!

Shannon N Mary . . . like a weeping willow and sweet tea in the summer. N I'm a phreakin yanqui.

I can live with this.

Oh, Pete was incredible. He joined in 2nd set, and first tune was just a pinch off, then, he nailed every song after that. I have NEVER seen and HEARD Pete play that much, even at Strawberry. He's an animal on the egg slicer. Phuckin incredible. The man has EARNED his eggbeater stripes. Wow.

Even the band was grinnin at his breaks, as the boys were all swappin leads, and then, cut time leads.

Wow.

JimmyBob may have a dif story to tell, but, I don't care!!!!

I want an eggbeater.

I need a sponsor.

Band candy won't cut it.

Ask yer rich folks for a dole and stipend for Larue to learn the eggbeater.

I thank you in advance.

The winner gets +1 at every show I ever do.

Carry on, now.

The Skwirrel was Dave's fawlt., never mine where it was sittin at the time. Always will be. Not that it's a BAD thing . . .

Hoss, we never had enuff time to just talk it all out, why, I'm not sure we even saved the world this time! Sure was fun, though! lol

Wisht I could have gone with ya Jim, that sure sounds like one fine show. I was up late last night just listenin to their new cd, over n over, as I am want to do. Fine, fine stuff, right off from Mary's opening 'whoohoohoo' on Ridgeway Backroads.

Carry on.
