The last line of the weather discussion for the Strawberry forecast area:
"GFS INDICATES THE POSSIBILITY OF A VERY COOL DAY ON WED DUE TO A SHARPENING OF THE UPPER TROF. IF CORRECT...MAX TEMPS ON WED COULD BE SOME 8 TO 10 DEG COOLER THAN NORMAL. MODERATION EXPECTED LATER IN THE WEEK AND INTO THE LABOR DAY WEEKEND."
GFS is a computer program. Everything in moderation, so I've heard.

1) That 1 Guy, expands Charlie Kran's profit margins to afford other acts, perhaps. I'll be skippin that show, methinks.
2) Amy's Orchid Cafe, Sat. Night. I've never done one, this could be a necessary first, despite having to skip camp jams . . . nah. What was I thinking . . . geez.
3) Weather. Saw something a week ago or so, might indicate some rain about where Tubdude indicates kewler temps. Hey, long's we all bring the snowshoes, it will be clear and kewl.
Howdy all, see ya Wed.

"COOLING TREND MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY AS LONG WAVE TROUGH POSITION
CURRENTLY NEAR 155W PROGRESSES TO INSIDE 140 W MONDAY THEN SHIFTS
INLAND TUESDAY NIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY. SYNOPTIC PATTERN FAVORABLE FOR
INCREASED MARINE ADVECTION INTO THE VALLEY WITH SOME SUNRISE STRATUS
DEVELOPMENT POSSIBLE IN THE SOUTHERN SACRAMENTO VALLEY WEDNESDAY
MORNING. AIRMASS BEGINS TO WARM THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY AS MAIN TROUGH
PROGRESSES AND WEST COAST COMES UNDER OMEGA PATTERN. RH PROGS
SUGGEST A PRECIPITATION-FREE FORECAST THROUGH NEXT WEEK."
Not enough water in the air. Especially after the east-west gradients early in the week. We'd need a lot of North-South air combined with a heftier trough OR what usually happens, monsoonal flow from the south hitting the crest and building thunderstorm that slide around and give us showers for days. Right now New Mexico is getting the water and the Pacific ridge is blocking anything from the west. We also have a series of tropical lows spinning around out there sucking in all the water vapor in the southwest. So rain isn't the problem. Fire is the problem especially with the humidity under 20% around Camp Mather but as long as the temps stay under 100 and the wind keeps under 20kts even the volunteer firemen couldn't get a big fire going.
Looks like a dandy forecast right now.
