Rod Stewart? Cool. We can all wear flame and/or leopard spandex. Like Zeke's purple getup. If he could sing for Jeff Beck, he can sing for JD Crowe. How about "JD does Jeff"? Some backwoods banjer action on some old Willie Dixon stuff? How about "the Shape of Things"? The Yardbirds even sounds like a bluegrass band.
