A Nice Little History from a Fan

Comments:
Interesting, I listened to KMBY on my FIRST transistor in 4th grade. Geez, that was, 1964 or so!!!!!

Telstar. Apache. Alice In Wonderland. Boyfriend's Back. Most Wonderful Summer. Barbara Lewis, Make Me Your Baby. Damn I was 10 years old . . . . maybe 11?

1240AM.

Seems to me there was one OTHER am station that played all the pop and surf music at the time, too . . . all I know now is from San Mateo '65 forward

Miss Morrison in 4th Grade at Gault School would often let us tune in to World Series coverage, too, in CLASS, back then. We lived two houses down on Seabright from the tailor's shop on the corner and had less than a few hunnert yards to go to school.

Damn. Wish we had never left, I miss the fog and the bark of the seals and sea lions and the clang of the buoy's. Damn.

Miss Morrison was blonde, TRIM and sharp, with a tan, a smile and love for us kids.

She ALSO flew a single engine Piper Cub, something a woman didn't DO in them days (she was also single and into her 30's which was something women didn't do much in them days and I bet I know why seh was single bless her I STILL have a crush on her though) and was working on her multi engine license. She was HOTTTTTTTT!!!!

I was SO into airplanes and such that after checking with my pops, she gave me the paperback of 'God Is My Co-Pilot'. Story of the P-40 Warhawks what flew for Chaing Kai Shek in China before we were officially in the war.

Ya know, it's wierd what YOU people bring outta me sometimes. It's all connected, I guess that's scary, too. ;-)
