"District Judge Peter Ward told the defendant that, in his view, there was no need for a layer of tomatoes on a shepherd’s pie. "
And that's the way it was, April 20, 2008.

'His brother, a chef, claimed a layer of tomatoes was not the appropriate way to finish off a shepherd’s pie, and responded by hitting him over the head with a shovel.'
I've never heard it put so.....
perfectly!

The tomatoes are ludicrous.
But I'd prefer a layer of puff pastry dough, brushed with butter and garlic and rosemary to the mashed taters.
Fine minced lamb, peas, pearl onions, herbs n seasonings. Slivered carrots would work. Even some shaved portabella 'shrooms.
I'm hungry. Later.

No taters? Dude. If you see someone dressed up like a chef coming at you with a shovel, my advice is to you is to duck. Mmmmmmmm...duck...molasses glaze, hardwood fire, keep it moving til it's golden brown and deeee...mmm...licious....slobber slobber.
