Good Thing There Was No Oil Spills During Ike

Comments:
Looks like the stuff that was risin' from the ocean floor when we were bringin' the Catalina up ther coast. We got into Santa Barbara and had to pry the little pea sized oil globs off the hull.

Yeah... lets drill offshore!

Thanks Tub.

Another reason why the BushKo/GOP don't want pics of failures from Ike . .

There are pics I don't have links to, that show bodies in trees off of Bolivar Peninsula.
We're talking ten thousand dead, minimul.

And no FEMA trailers yet, as of Monday night, or Tuesday night, in Houston or south of that.

Even first responders don't have food and water as of Monday night.

Nice job, Bushie's.
Ya fucks. Again.

Maybe now we can all agree that if this does not meet your expectations, please adjust your expectations. We in the Emergency Services Bidnez have been told point blank that in the event of a natural disaster in or around Santa Cruz County that the citizenry should be prepared for 72 hours without State or Federal response.
Friday night to Monday night. Expect the first responders at dawn on Tuesday. That's why now when they say "mandatory evacuation" they mean that if you don't check in to the government approved shelter, you're on your own. All they can protect is your life. The disaster will either take your stuff or it won't. It will either make you homeless or it won't. The government has said it will do as much as possible for your stuff but not really. If you don't leave, if you don't check into the shelter, if you think you can make it, don't be suprised to find yourself dead and all your stuff gone anyway.
The citizenry has to do it all for themselves in the initial 72 hours. That's why you see cowboys rounding up strays in the water on Sunday and no FEMA. You hear it over and over here in CA. Store food, store water, have a plan, have a meeting place.
I'm still suprised at the lady in Galveston who said she wasn't expecting flooding. She said she was told to leave but the government didn't tell her how bad it would be. When they tell you to evacuate. They mean it can get that bad.

Tub, gotta be tough to argue or even POSIT every side of the issue . . . good effort, though. Rock and a hard place.

shutup and get some bird friendly soap and start whooshin scry but then they got better instinct sthan most folks warnin indeed!
