Nice Company

In the eighth inning of game three, B.J. Upton became the second player in World Series history to steal second and third, and then score on an error by the catcher, in the same inning. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the first was Hall of Famer Honus Wagner, in Game 5 of the 1909 World Series.

Comments:
I wanna know who's gonna talk about the two stupedist throws from two of the BEST catchers in MLB that led to this game's ending.

Two throws, from both Ruiz and Navarro, in the same game, were bush league.

And both, cost.

Ya gotta fuckin know when to hold the fuckin ball . . .

As Tub says, playoffs are a matter of inches. One bad throw and yer out of the game.

Defense. Pitching. Turnovers.

So far, Philly has pitching. Rays don't.

Rays got Philly held to a LOUSY runners in scoring position, but Rays give up the game by getting behind, and loading bases.

Philly wins so far. And they got better pitching.

And it's 3-1 Philly.

How bout that 45 year old putz Jamie Moyer . . . *G*

Sorry, Tub. Upton is a hoss. And so was Honus. Only Honus Wagner hit .454 one year . . . and is a Hall Of Famer.

*G*

Slight dif. So far.

I don't see Upton goin that far.

Longaria, though, looks like a cinch barring bad agents, drug habits, hookers, and injury. Ya betcha, winky, winky.

Anyone see Opus today?

Broke my heart . . . . and Berke Breathed quitting the game for why he said he was . . . broke my heart, too.

Bless Bloom County, Mylo, and all of them . . . damn we're gonna need them . . . . need them bad.
