Sure, Cain is 9-1, Lincecum just pounded the Elephants for a 7-1 mark, and even Old Man (300+) Johnson is 6-5. But Manny's the story, still.
Sadly, he'd have to average a bit more than 34 dingers per season for seven MORE full time seasons to catch Bonds.
Me, I just want to see him run up ONE more outfield wall and high five someone. *G*
I maintain the Gyro's missed the mark of the century by not picking him up, regardless of the cost at the time. They'd have a Series ring by now, likely, and would be heading to another one this year, despite the suspension.

Huh, game's never been pure, not since long ago in the 1890's.
This whole steroid thang is grossly overblown.
If that shit was all that good, the 80's, 90's woulda had even MORE profound record setting performances.
Outside of one of the GREATEST on the mound ever, Clemons, what other pitcher set any fame or records on 'roids? I mean, Fergie heaved it up there on acid . . . . what'd THAT get him?
Nah, it's a puritanical backlash, a sign of the times, a pure Bushlike syndrome from GOP values, all them family values they rant and rail about.
