Yeah...I Admit it, I'm Just A Pup.

In '71, I was 11, two guys made me pick up a guitar....and then I learned what was out there.

Nice tele.

This is from '75. Funny how John Paul Jones played all the mando parts. We saw him with Grisman at the mandolin symposium at UCSC, David said they'd been friends for years.

11 in '71?

You kids . . . .

As always, great tunage . .

*G*

Dang, Relf was NOT at his best on Dazed.

Paul Samwell Smith on bass, ok.

MCartney on drums, ok.

Page draws a bow . . . long before zep!

So who's the other git?

Never seen that cut . . . don't really like it, but its huge for the playahs . . . nice find.

Yeah, it kinda sucks, I just thought the bowin' the tele thing was cool. Chris Dreja's the other player. Way too cool for it's time. At least you can see where Jiimy wanted to go.

I'm mot a big Zappa fan . . . some of the more popular things over the year stuck with me . . . but over all he's just too much acoustic theatre for me . . . no knocking NY of his incredible talents, that's for sure.

I gotta say, that Zep is likely my fav vid I've ever seen . . . not to mention I STILL can listen to that song again and again . . . as opposed to MUCH of the old 60's stuff I'm tired to death of . . . nice choices one and all Dave . . .

Dreja! Thanks . . .

Still, those two and McCartney and Smith worked that band thru so many variations, all of them stellar in their time.

Always loved Relf's vocals and simple harp work . . . .

Here's their Wiki for any of the curious:

Hey man, Frank's from Lancaster! Grew up, and honed his craft in the southern California desert.

Probably why he's so weird.

Turkey farms and all...

Still love everything he did.
