I've said it before....

Jerry and David's CD is pretty cool too. Both stay in high rotation!

Larue, try Mile's 'Birth of the Cool', excellent.

Comments:
I just rented "King of the Gypsies" from '78. Eric Roberts, Sterling Hayden, a par-tic-u-larly luscious Susan Sarandon, blah blah blah. Soundtrack by Dawg and the boys.

Sterling Hayden.....The Man!

Was tired of the crap, and left in Wanderer for the South Pacific.

My hero!

'Since its first publication in 1963, controversy has surrounded Wanderer, the autobiography of Sterling Hayden. Just as he approached the peak of his career as a movie star, Hayden suddenly abandoned Hollywood, walked out on a shattered marriage, defied the courts, and set sail with his four children aboard the schooner WANDERER. A broke outlaw, he escaped to the South Seas.'

Dave, I have vinyl of Kind Of Blue, Bitches Brew, and a Vanguard double lp of 'Greatest Hits'.

Oh, and maybe vinyl of Sketches Of Spain, but i'd have to actually look, and it's all buried deep amongst my vinyl stashes, and I'm too lazy to dig it out until I begin to convert vinyl to digital.

I'm a Miles fan, yes. Kind Of Blue remains one of the top 5 ever in any catagory.

Bitches Brew is aother one I had to replace... due to overplayed flaws.

Try 'In a Silent Way'.

The predecesor to 'Bitches Brew'.

Miles and John Mclaughlin stepped outside everything.

Herbie and Chick helped.

I like your style and I think “Style is knowing who you are, what you want to say, and not giving a damn.

No one does "My Funny Valentine" like Miles.

Nice work. I came across your blog while “blog surfing” using the Next Blog button on the blue Nav Bar located at the top of my blogger.com site. I frequently just travel around looking for other blogs which exist on the Internet, and the various, creative ways in which people express themselves. Thanks for sharing.
